Sorry to break it to you, but no. That doesn’t do anything for Canadians. That’s an old pipe dream. No one that I interacted with in TCI treats Canadians any differently.

I’ve stayed at both, cheap and expensive resorts in both countries and your passport doesn’t mean a thing other than locals have a bias about which nationalities tip better.

Whether you go to Mexico or TCI, as long as you’re staying at a resort, you’re just another number to them. You show up on a tourist bus, get a wristband and then at some point you get on a bus, and leave.

I don't how some of you people have the courage to leave your house, the amount of fear you live in, day to day.
Signs you're a postwhore:
1) You say "I got that cheaper", but don't say where, or when.
2) Your post contains less than 5 words.
3) Your post contains more than 5 words, but none of them are about the topic of the thread.

Guess I'm not going to Belgium either then. No idea Mexican drug cartels also operate in Belgium.
Yea, there are still murders without cartels around. Imagine that!

A one way. As in you don’t need a way to return back to Victoria?

Being cautious about visiting other countries somehow equals to living in fear. Nice logic

Being cautious is fine, being afraid to visit any country that isn't 100% white? You're a scaredy cat.

Ah ok. What you’re looking for is called a “non-stop flight”.

As a heads up, most Caribbean destinations will connect through Toronto or Calgary due to sheer demand.

You may have more options through Vancouver now. Not sure about Victoria though.

But look for Non-stop. You don’t want One-way.

Good luck with your search!

Many western countries have being enriched with multiculturalism, so there's not many '100%' white countries left. I guess you'll have to call me a scaredy cat wherever I go Crying Face

I just came back from Cancun, spend 8 days and everything was lovely. Totally safe, just book a reputable hotel/resort and you'll be fine. Trips outside of resorts and hotels are organized by those establishments and are safe.
Which resort did u stay at?

Over the last 11 years, 15 Canadians have died in Mexico from malicious causes (murder, kidnapping/murder, etc)
In that same time, 25 Canadians were killed by COWS.
Just like staying out of dangerous areas in Mexico, you probably shouldn't enter into a cow pen and slap a bull.
