And you're telling us this, because...? Obviously entirely subjective.

Inaccurate in many ways too. China and Mexico's GDP per capita are roughly the same. Thailand's is less. Guess you haven't been to middle America, because you'd have many questions about the education system in the States then.

This thread went well.

The wealthier, more educated, and opulent the place, generally the more safe and enjoyable it will be.

Top cities on my list include: Shanghai, Bangkok, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York (slightly over-hyped), Los Angeles (a mess but I love it), and London (not so much anymore with street violence).

My guilty pleasures: Orlando, Phoenix, Macau, Vegas, and a mish-mash of other middling American cities.

After a close call with a family member, I've written off Mexico completely for now.

God bless.
None of those places are relaxing!

Folks often write the US off as a good travel destination, but there is so much to see and do that it makes for a great time. Whereas China has that up-and-comer spirit without the toxic political culture that prevents really raw honest discussions. That and the tremendous artifacts of civilizations they've build out there, it's awe-inspiring.

I forgot Houston on my list.

Kidnapped in Mexico City lol good luck.

I was there for a week last april. Not a sign of kidnapping nor poor people begging.

Stereotyping!

i call shenanigans, Theres no way you spent a week in that city and didnt see anyone begging.

Orlando is nice, try it some time.
I've been there and stayed for a week, visiting Seaworld, Universal Studios and Wet 'N Wild.
Not to mention shopping at the malls and premium outlets.

It's an All-American destination. Not too hotty-totty, not too slummy, feel likes solid middle-Americana with all the amenities. Fairly cheap housing down there too. Underrated city.

When I want to unwind with good clean fun, that's where I lean in... schedule permitting.

Mexico city, Cancun... Wherever you go there it's fine. I was once told some advice as a younger more roudy individual when I went there the first time....

"if you go looking for trouble..... It will find you... Otherwise enjoy your stay.

Been to Mexico over 20 times. Not a single issue.

Singapore is the most dull country/state on the planet. If you can't relax there, you're doing something wrong.
