Vanity size upgrade and plumbing question

If I am going to change my vanity size from 24” to 30” in the future, will I need to change the plumbing as well? The plumbing is about 12”-13” from the wall and the toilet and shower are on the opposite wall. Here is a picture of the plumbing.

For that size change probably not. You just have to be aware of what the back of the new vanity looks like. For example if there are drawers on side will they clear the pipes coming from the wall.

There’s no such thing as standard anymore. Required rough in specs will vary depending on the sink/cabinet that you choose. If you’re worried about anything fitting replace with a simple open cabinet

The plumbing does not need to be centered with the vanity, and can be offset to either side.

As RCLapCar indicated, you just need to ensure that there are no obstructions in the new vanity to get in the way. If the back of the vanity is not open, then ensure that any vertical/horizontal wood supports are not in the way, and make sure any drawers are shallow enough to not interfere where the p-trap will eventually be located.

If my bathroom sink hole is not exactly aligned with the drain pipe (off my 1”-1.5”), will this cause any issue for the plumber?
Thinking to get my own 36” vanity vs what the basement contractor is included 24”

That will be fine. Your plumber won't have any issue.

The trap can swivel so it can be 90 degrees and be parallel to the wall.
The attached picture shows a p trap that is rotated slightly to the right of center and is what you are describing.

You are off 6" not 1-1.5"
A 36" vanity centers at 18", your existing plumbing goes into the wall at 12". If you purchase a 36" vanity with drawers both sides the in wall drain will need to be relocated. You can fit a 36" vanity that is (2 doors) open cabinet or in your case a cabinet with drawers on the left and a door on the right.

If toilet is located next to that vanity ensure the extra 12" of width doesn't get too close to toilet flange.

Forgot to mention that we are getting 36” vanity with sink on the right. It is not center sink. Toilet is at the front of the vanity. Same width with 24”
