Pixel 6a $379. New All Time Low (previously $400).

Currently OOS on the Google Store but other retailers have it just less color choices.

Google Store -
https://store.google.com/config/pixel_6 ... PSJdXX0%3D

Best Buy -
https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/go ... d/16299237

Sale seems to end June 18th, so time for restocks.
Thread Summary
The 6a has been sold in the last few months for $200-$300 on Kijiji and FB Marketplace, mostly new in the box. Ask for receipt for warranty. If sealed in the box, you don't need the receipt as Google registers a warranty to the first person who turns on and registers the device.

Not endorsing one phone over the other but if Samsung floats your boat, you can get the A54 for $326.49 through one of their partner sites using the A54SALE code.

S23SALE code is not working for S23 variants on partner sites at this time.

Sorry for noob question but which partner site are we talking? Thinking of getting my in-law a new phone and this may fit the bill. Tried to use the code at samsung website but I'm getting $470

I'm guessing SPC, perkopolis, etc.

I just wish Samsung released more colours in Canada, all we have is boring black.

Is that phone better? Bought the Pixel 6A for my dad cause of this but I think he has the A51.

Pixel 6A's screen is basically dogshit for midrange 2023 offerings but there really are no other real negatives... great bang for the buck at this pricing. Toss in your SIM and you are on your way.

Best Buy has stock, maybe other places will as well.

A54 has a BEAUTIFUL screen but the 6A beats it on performance with the Tensor chip vs Exynos. Depends what you are looking for. Not a gamer, get the A54. Want to game and don't care about a mediocre screen - get the 6A.

Someone I know just got the A54 and loves it. Middle aged person who is not a power user.

There's no real better phone overall nowadays in each price segment. They have their trade offs.

Pixel's tend to be best in class in terms of the rear camera and have relatively strong SoCs. So the camera (due to image processing, actual sensor is rather dated) and SoC (albeit heats up fast) on the Pixel 6a are better than the A54.

The A54 would have a better display, actually longer update support, build quality (albeit glass might be a minus to you), reliability is generally considered better, better battery life. Actually a better front camera if that matters to you. In this case it's also a good deal cheaper and I'd say it's better deal as it's almost certainly a price error (which also means it might not ship, so don't bank on it judging by the similar S23 thread).

So you can get the A54 at $326.49 through SPC? That seems really low.

Depends if you are a student or not. Some in the Samsung S23 thread were pretending to be students to get the discount and such. Don't know how it's going to work for them if it's found out.

Regular price on the A54 is $589 - $120 Samsung coupon code = $469. Other 3rd party sites do offer further Samsung discounts if you qualify.

Pixel 7 is down to $599 again, which would most likely blow both the A54 and 6A out of the water, but you are stepping up in price.

No. Canadian models only have 1 physical SIM support.

Good price for just released A54. Got one.
This deserves to be a separate topic.

A54 is always overshadowed by other offerings due to the Exynos chipset... but that is a good deal if you can stack and the 120hz AMOLED screen is bloody gorgeous. Also resembles an S23+ so you can fool some people to think you have a flagship.

But, I told my buddy to buy the Pixel 6A as he has a total obsolete Samsung J3 that takes about 10 seconds after each press to respond + half the time the other person can't hear him while talking. He needs an upgrade badly. Not everyone can stack coupon codes otherwise the A54 might suit him better.

I agree, if Samsung had released the Violet color in Canada, I would have traded in my A53 5G in a heartbeat.

Pixel 6a reportedly has one less year of support (because its older). Samsung is good to 2028 security updates and Android 17, Pixel with Android updates to July 2026 (Android 16?) and 2027 for security updates

Have the Pixel 6 on Telus and works fine.

I think a lot of the issues stem from the United States of America.

YMMV
