VIA Rail - anyone taken it recently?

Just wondering how full the VIA Rail trains are these days between the Toronto - Montreal - Ottawa corridor. Weekday travel. Are people sitting right beside you? Considering paying for Business Class for a less crowded train.

Travelled from Montreal to Toronto on June 28th. Train was 40-50% full. No people in adjacent seats.

If the business class service is back to pre COVID levels then it could be worth it anyway.

Nice meal, glass of wine, bigger seats, lounge access. And usually the price is reasonable.

But I don't know if you still get all these things right now.

They blocked off all the aisle seats, unless you're traveling together.

Source: took Via today from Toronto-Windsor. Economy.

Wondering if anyone who has travelled recently knows about the Covid restrictions in Business Class ?
Was thinking of booking Business for an upcoming trip, but if the perks are not worth it, I might just book Economy.

Service is back to the same levels as before Montreal-Toronto at least, you just have to wear a mask at all times when not eating or drinking

EDIT: There is no checked luggage service, I do not use it so it did not come to mind but that is different than pre-COVID
