Loved a lot of their shows and am saddened by this outcome.

Viceland channel’s future uncertain as Rogers pulls plug

Did anyone on Fido/Rogers ever watch this? I never have, but it is part of my cell plan. It seemed totally pointless. Apparently Rogers alone paid $100 million, yet they only got 55000 daily viewers on the TV channel.

I notice that Fido has stopped advertising Viceland in their plan descriptions too.

Hmmm.... did they lose money? If so, guess I should be expecting to see a new round of fee increases on my Rogers & Fido bills.

It possibly means that not enough people were watching it.
I seem to recall VICE on our channel list but don't even recall what its theme was. I probably checked it out and moved on.

I watched bits of it a few times. A bit too counter culture for me. A fat hip hop artist sloppily gorging himself in Europe while constantly swearing is not my idea of a travel or food show :)
Action Bronson? Action Who? :)

I like the Matty Matheson stuff.

They should go full web subscription. I'd sub directly if I could.

Vice's target demographic is millennials. Millennials don't have TV services.

What did they expect?

Almost all of Viceland stuff ends up on the various Vice Media Youtube channels. You can find all of Matty's stuff on the Munchies channel.
