i was able to get this deal today at the eaton centre's virgin plus store (not kiosk). in and out in 15-20 mins.

Wanted to clarify if I wanted to port over from fido and not activate a second line, is it $40 for 10 GB or $35 for 10 GB? From the OP post:

$50 for 10 GB data BYOD - unlimited talk text
1000 minutes per month to select countries
$50 activation fee refunded on the 1st or second bill
-$10/month for 24 months
-$5/month for 24 months if adding a line
Update:
-$5/month for 12 months for first and subsequent lines <-- this is only if adding a second line right?

I am kind of confused folks. so I want to have 2 lines and 2 iPhone. Here is how the cost go?

1 line: $30 plan of 10GB +$24.58 for the phone for 2 years?
2 line: $35 plan of 10GB +$24.58 for the phone for 2 years?

Who calls China nowadays? everyone just use wechat. you can chat, videoconfering, etc....everything in wechat. Who makes a phone call to China?

anyone around GTA got a any discount on the iphone when signing up ?
the rep at first Markham place told me they still have this deal on the plan today. but there is no discount on the phone at the moment. she told me maybe around BF, I can change the plan and get a deal on the phone. I also wonder what happen when I change the plan on the 1st line, will that result in price increase on the 2nd and 3rd line.

i checked and I don't see iOS has such feature build in to do automatically data usage reset, (and no warning and block data) to prevent data over usage. anyone know or suggest an app that can do that on iOS?

I have older family members in Fuzhou, Suzhou, Chongqing, and Tainan City who are more comfortable with landlines. Knock on wood I also live to at least 90 years young because it seems to run in the extended family - although I'm probably eating too much bacon!

yes. forgot to exclude elderlies. really old people usually refuse to adapt to new tech.
