Public mobile doesnt have home and away restrictions like chatr or freedom.

You can use it from anywhere in Canada and its included in your (unlimited canadawide) plan
Chatr got rid of zones back in December, only Freedom has zones now
Koodo, Fido, Telus, Public Mobile, Virgin customer.

Public Mobile doesn't have Home/Away. You will get Canada wide calling without any long distance charges as long as you are calling from/to Canada. The only difference between your Bell TB plan is data speed (LTE vs throttled 3G) and $17 saving per month.
I didn't know that, figured it was like Freedom and Chatr.... hmmmm well now things get interesting

I haven't stayed up to date with Chatr, but that's good to know. What's the point of having another tier nationwide provider when Rogers and Fido already exist

Virgin offering better deals then Koodo now, maybe I should move to lucky instead of public...

This deal still up and running? And has anyone tried matching this deal as rogers customer? Currently on $40 4 gig plan. Wouldn't mind extra 2 gigs for same price.

You won’t get $2 off, but at least they’re reliable and they have customer service.
No man, it is more than that. It's actually $7 after 5 years. And Public's add-ons are much better as well.

for all those 10 years I have been with Telus, I only made 1 call to their call center.
I don't know what kinds of services we need for pre-paid phone plans.

Freedom doesn't have Zones, it's just that they have small Network. Which makes people think there are Zones

Is this at LTE+ speeds or 3g? Is there anyway for a non lucky/prepaid Virgin member to hop on this or do you have to take a chance and get on maybe a $10/month basic plan for 1 month and hope this promo is still going?

For anyone who has signed up for this $40/mth plan, what is the total monthly cost? $40 plus tax, or are there other "fees" tacked on top?

It is lte+
Previously you could have got this plan by getting a prepaid sim card and switching over to postpaid. How are they are not letting users do that. Now you have to be a prepaid member for 2 months. But you can get a prepaid sim card and not put any money in and wait for 2 months and hope that some of these plans will still be available.

You can also try your luck by calling in with the new prepaid sim card and see if they're willing to switch over to postpaid on this current plan
