If you have LTE iPad 3 or phone, you can turn on the tethering or personal hotspot and download/upload extreme fast a lots of data. All the carriers having the abuse policy but they probably don't apply it because if they apply it and terminate your service, you can always switch to their competition carrier.

Depends on your usage, if you use less than $250MB / month then you only have to pay $15/month with Virgin Mobile/Bell Flex tablet plan.

If you use between 250MB - 500MB then Telus is suitable for you because you only have to pay $20/month.

If you use more than 500MB then you have to pay $35 for up to 5GB. This is the same for Virgin Mobile, Bell or Telus.

After 5GB, Telus overage charge is 2¢/MB compare to 1.5¢/MB for Virgin Mobile.

If you plan to use this flex data plan on your phone then Virgin Mobile/Bell is safer because it always have the correct no pay per use charge APN pda.bell.ca when you put the SIM card on the phone.

Telus is more dangerous. It might have the incorrect pay per use charge APN sp.telus.com when you put the SIM card on the phone. A lot of users don't know this and might receive a huge bill for pay per use data. Telus might waive this charge once time if you call to dispute.

For Telus, you have to change to the correct no charge APN isp.telus.com

normal to micro or micro to normal is not an issue if you buy the elcheapo cutter. They usually come with some adaptor to house micro.

Yes, because this is month to month plan. You might have to give them 30 days notice for cancellation.

I will plan to activate another one near Dec 2nd, 2012 to get another 2 months unlimited data and cancel the old one.

No charge because both APNs pda and pda2 are provisioned for tablet data plan

The Tablet Flex $5 Plan (no contract) is reserved for customer owned tablets...but nothing really stops a client from using other devices; nor does it really matter. This plan is provisioned for use with pda.bell.ca and pda2.bell.ca APN (Smartphone / Tablet APN). They recommend monitoring your data use on this plan if you plan on using it on a non-tablet...just in case.

Not so easy, i have a promotional voice plan with flex data from last Christmas, if i switch and then cancel, dont think they will give me back my old plan.

So beware of the risks.

Bell have the same unlimited for 2 months but no referral program like Virgin Mobile

Basically iPad plan is same as tablet plan, you can activate and use it in either iPad or tablet...

Currently look like there is no activation fee for Virgin Mobile, Bell or Telus...

You can try go to the store to activate. Otherwise, you can always buy the microsim and buy the adapter.

Or you can make your own adapter if you have another regular SIM card you not use anymore or deactivated.
