[Virgin Mobile] 50% off Home Internet plans PLUS $100 Prepaid VISA (YMMV ONT only)

Virgin Mobile is having 50% off some of their Home Internet Plans

50 Mbps at $30/month for 12 months
100 Mbps at $35/month for 12 months

I signed up yesterday (new customer) via online Chat for their 50 Mbps plan and was also given a prepaid $100 Visa card

YMMV because the VISA offer isn't mentioned on their website, however I didn't ask or haggle for any extras, it was just offered to me during sign up so it may apply for everyone

These are ON prices. QC is only 15$ credit / month.

I didn't sign up but got offered the $100 Visa prepaid card on the phone. Just keep saying you are not willing to sign up for that price or their bandwidth is not sufficient (I said this) and they will give you the $100 Visa on top of 50% off.

I feel scammed by Virgin - Signed up less than 30 days ago and not willing to budge on monthly rate and gift card.

Beware, they may be small but act exactly like Bell, Rogers and Cogeco.

This didn't work for me yesterday, but they called back today offering the $100 'gift card' along with 50% off on either 50 or 100mbps plans

Just called in to switch my discount from last month's 15$ off offer to 30$, as a current customer. Took about 15 minutes, buy wasn't too hard to convince them to give me the discount. Didn't push for the Visa card as the guy was having difficulties switching discounts already.

Has anyone switched from the 50 to the 100? How was the updated service?

Currently on 50 but wondering if it's worth it to upgrade. We don't seem to run into many issues even with a couple steaming services going at the same time..

Major YMMV On the $100 visa. The reps don’t have authority to issue tonight. I disputed the offer (after submitting the order) they called back within minutes and said they would credit my account for $100 within 2-3 billing cycles. Fingers crossed!

That's what I'm trying to do but they keep pushing back. Same situation as you. Was the rep able to do it or were you transferred to loyalty department first?

Yes and they raised the price before giving the discount because 2 weeks ago, I was about to sign up and 100mb was 65-15=50 and now it's 70-15=55.

Rip off!

The rep put me on hold 3 times, but did it no problem.
I just mentioned I saw the deal at the mall and would rather not go through the trouble of canceling the service to get the discount.

Cust service is horrendous with these guys and once the year is up youll need to switch since they don't extend the promo. And switching was insanely tedious got transfered 3 times then they messed up the modem return

That’s why I try to use chat options when available, you can save a copy of the conversation for reference. I just signed back up after leaving them for not offering a discount, so I’ll see if I get the $100 cherry on top of the promo rate.
