Haven't done it on virgin but should be something like this:

>Sign up a new account with desired plan
>port your old ph number out to a competitor prepaid which will close your current virgin acct
>port that ph number back in to your new account

Try pushing a few more agents first, say you'll move to a competitor etc

If it's for new customers then NO.

However if you are current virgin Plus customer for 90+ days then port out to Freedom or other carrier and you are eligible for winback plan.

It used to be $45/25GB. But recent post mention $50/20 Gb or something. There is a thread for winback plan. And if you sign up for two year contract then you Wil get $400 credit towards new phone

Thanks guys! I'm paying $50 now for 12GB. I don't need the winback plan with the extra data if it costs $50, just want to lower the bill. I guess I could port out and then back in for the $45/20GB plan basically as a new customer?
