Call from Koodo retention after switching away from 12 gb plan...agent said they have absolutely nothing competitive to offer. Guess Koodo is sitting real comfy or not caring to compete at this point.

How long does it take for Rogers to release their number? I got the text message and responded YES but I still have Rogers service and it has been 5 hours already. Something went wrong?

just a reminder for everyone that switched over to make sure you initiate the voicemail.
Totally forgot about this until i had a couple missed calls and realized I didn't get any voicemail.

Did you get notified by text or on the monthly statement? I am not on the same plan but similarly getting 12GB for $40. I am on the fence because the call control feature has been extremely handy in blocking all unwanted calls. As far as I know, Bell/Virgin doesn't have this feature in place.Purmotional wrote: ↑ I switched from Koodo. I was originally on the 11gb $40 plan but they increased my plan to $45 per month. If you were part of the public mobile migration plan I would check to see if they’re going to increase your monthly bill as I heard others got the same increase.

Exactly what happened to me. I called them back and they flat out said they can't touch $45 for 20gb and their minimum plan that included a device credit started at $60. Then they offered me home security and credit monitoring? Combine this experience with Telus and Koodo wanting to add a credit card transaction fee and it sounds like nickel and diming to please shareholders.myinglin0318 wrote: ↑ I got a missed call from this number +1 (866) 448-8030 so I’m wondering if it’s them as well. Realized I didn’t set up my voicemail yet so there’s that lol.

Ported from PM got a call from Telus two days later offering 30gb fullspeed and then throttled at 512kbps unlimited+ calls, txt, voicemail 25, caller Id, and other shit for $50/month. It was there retention department.

FYI in case anyone has Fido. I was on the 25GB $55 plan and spoke with Fido retention trying to match the Virgin deal. The best they could offer was $5 off for 5 months.
Switching to Virgin by the online chat was a breeze. Thanks OP for sharing the deal!

Was with virgin, asked if they can offer it to me, sent to loyalty, etc. Nothing they can do. Called Fido, and got the same offer without the LD. Good enough for me.

My sim hasn't made it to BC yet, but I got my first bill today. Looks like the activation credit was applied immediately. Also got some kind of one time discount (20%) off on the first full month, probably to credit you for the time the sim is in the mail?
Also that's a shame Koodo isn't offering much to come back. Part of me hoped they would offer a similar plan but might qualify for buying a new device at discount.

Rep tried to use the whole deal expired and offered $50 for 20GB.
I hate haggling with reps. I'll try again
