$25 because you're virgin mobile user? Is that eligible for very Virgin Mobile user?

My install is this Monday. When I placed my order 50Mbps was the fastest at my address.

I randomly checked the bell website today and saw 100 was now available, and it also says that on virgins site now.

Gonna call them today and see if they can upgrade me to the faster speed and honor the promo

Does the 100Mbps package require two phone jacks? Because I only have one

Edit: looks like FTTN pair bonding so yep. I wonder how they'll do it with my single phone jack

A phone jack has 4-6 conductor positions. It's simply a matter of wiring to enable the two pairs for pair bonding. It does mean that if your house isn't wired for 2 lines (some are, some are) you might be forced to place the modem at where it enters your house. Honestly you should be doing that anyways since in home wiring can be very hit and miss with regards to quality.

I've called 2 times and get 55 for 100? They are so sketchy though. When the sales agent knows they won't get the sale the transfer me so they don't lose the stat

Not good, in my case the Bell line man, get me a new line from the street and loop it to the back of my house.

Oh? So did the bill credit part of this 'deal' end?

I wonder what's gonna happen to my one phone jack

I've tried pair bondage with a virgin - it did not go well.

For anyone who isn’t a current customer:

Wireless wave in Toronto offered me Virgin @ 55/month 100 mbps, or Fido @ 45/month 150 mbps.

Fido seems to be the stronger offer at the moment, but both are no contract / fees so it’s low risk to give either a shot (instead of the joke prices from Bell / Rogers) right now.

The person I talked to said the $150 bill credit ended two weeks ago and only the $50 Visa prepaid card is available now.

But does that one jack have 2 or 4 wires going to it?

Usually in apartments they always wire 4 wires to each apartment to support dual lines.

That's why pair bonding is a thing.

It would be pretty uncommon to only have 1 pair to a jack , I don't think you'll have a problem. You'd have to be in a pretty old building for that to happen.
