[Virgin Mobile] Virgin Mobile Fibe 50 - 30/month + $100 Bill credit

Right now if you join Virgin with a cellphone plan, you can get their Home internet Fibe 50 download speed for only $30/month (1 year promo) + $100 bill credit.

If you are not with Virgin with cellphone, it is $40/month (1 year). No bill credit

There are also no installation fees or modem fees or cancellation fees. Both are good deals. Someone at Promenade Mall at the Virgin Mobile kiosk hooked me up.

I'm already on the 30/month promo from last year, in month 11 of 12.
when i called last week they said the $40/month was for NEW CUSTOMERS only. not for existing

any idea if this particular offer is for NEW vs existing?

Just contacted them and they only offered $10 off of the $60 for existing members. It's still good since there's no contract and no installation fees.

A small correction, it's $60 / mth with a $20 / mth billing credit for 12 months. I called to inquire and this is what they told me even without asking.

I signed up a few days ago and picked a date 3 weeks out. I got a call from Bell (on behalf of Virgin) he offered me $25 one-time credit if I picked a sooner date, so I advanced the installation by 3 days.

Why not move the services over to Fido? They're offering $32.50/month for 75Mbps?

How do you get $32.50 per month? I see $45 for first 6 months on the website. Does it require you to be a Fido cellular customer?

Sorry you're right. Some digging around, you have to be a Fido customer to qualify for $32.50 deal.

We had this plan for about a year until last week, we switch to Bell 50, speed is stable and faster than virgin 50. Virgin nor Bell could give us 100. Virgin install the modem in wrong room when we called ask why no reason was given and they wouldn't move it. now the modem is in utility room were we wanted it not in our basement living room, that was just dumb.

It’s the same company, the same thing. I think they even send Bell technicians for installation of Virgin?

This is correct. Exact same, the only scenario here is that he did not have Valerie installed because it wasn't out yet. Now Virgin and bell use the Valerie modem

I wonder if bell would match this? I am in the 2nd last month of my virgin internet deal and want to swing to Bell or even Cogeco if they had a similar deal.

YMMV, went to the STC location yesterday, added a new cell line to my account and the manager gave me this promo even though I am a current home internet customer currently receiving the 50% off for a year promotion. My deal ends next April so this will extend it for another year!

Yes they, I can't believe I have to explain this, if you have bell you are priority one not so with virgin hence the better speed with Bell. To make it better we are paying $7 less after tax. same thing rogers and fido. telus and koodo. Rogers, Bell and Telus customers will always get first connection and better speeds, plus all company have more than enough pipeline to maintain decent speed during heavy traffic. I use test my.net seems to be better than speedtest.
