How far out is everyone from the previous year's credits expiring? Mine fall off until the end of March, but I'm wondering if I should just try and renew now.

I've become a wireless customer with them since as well.

Any comment on their internet/tv signal stability? Planning to sign up....$70 for both sounds pretty decent?

I logged into my account to see if the credit had gone through, and they seem to have raised my base Internet price from $70/month to $72.50/month so now I'll be paying $37.50/month instead of $35/month. I am fine with this (like, it is $2.50, I will live) but of course the CSR never mentioned this on the phone haha ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just called in and same thing happened to me
First she tried to sell me on $80-35 credit.
But in the end I got my original deal so I thought. $70-35
Logged into account and it's gone up $2.50 without mentioning it
100mbps for $37.50
I'll take it for another year
Saves me the hassle of switching to fido because they'd have to lay a new cable and install etc.
DaveTheDude wrote: Also got the same 12 month extension at $37.50 a month for 100mbps. Seems to be Virgin's best offer for those renewing.
Possible to get the same credit for renewing my 50M/10M service?

I have internet and it's been rock solid for quite awhile BUT if you ever needed to speak to loyalty department for credit/promo adjustment it can be very annoying. They outsourced their call center for it to the Philippines. It reminds me to my over 5yrs ago bhell days.

Every month i am having to call in to get my promo manually adjusted because they're having "back end" difficulties.

I will jump ship when the promo is over

I got my credit for 50M extended another year. Was paying $30/month, now will be paying $32.50/month after $2.50 Jan increase. I think the $2.50 increase is across the board.

Sooo it looks like most people are having success from calling in and just getting precious promo extended for the same price? Anyone do this today? Planning on calling in later today.

Quick question- I have cannet internet for 4 years and was happy, there is some throttling in peak hours and some on/ off on some days but not a big big issue . My price was $30 + tax for 4 years now they changing to $35+ tax ( best I can get from them)- speed 75/10.

Should I bother to change To Virgin/Fido or stick with them for another year ? How’s everyone experience with fido / virgin compared to cannnet . Cannet uw W Rogers line .

When I mentioned 1 GB speed, the agent at Virgin Plus told me that for EVERY device in my home can get 100M speed simultaneously with this service. Is this true? I really doubt it.
And the price I got is $40, even though I have two lines with them.

Thanks OP.

Just chatted then called, jumped through 3 reps, then waited for a 15 to 20 mins (heard rooster crying in the background) ... The rep was kind enough to set up for me $40/100mbps for 12 months

I had to tell him the promo was on the virgin website

I'm interested in this plan as a new customer. Anyone know where to get the $50 bill credit/gift card? I called and they said the $50 gift card isn't available. Anyone successful in getting the gift card either online or in-store near Markham?

I'm looking for 50mbps, $35/month. Can't get 100mbps in my area unfortunately.

100mbps for 35 sounds nice but once you go gigabit you don't go back. Actually that's just a joke because gigabit got too expensive for me after the promo ended. So I went down to 500mbps. First with rogers. Even though they say it's 500mbps, it was much more common to get 600 to 750mbps off the ethernet. I switched to bell last month and while the speed is rated for 500mbps, they also give me a small boost. Not as much as rogers but still good.

I recently upgraded my phone from s10 plus to the zflip3 5g. For some effing reason, my wifi speed on my zflip3 5g is hitting 550mbps download, and 350mbps upload. My s10plus is only getting 420mbps download and 250mbps upload. I know the 5g has the tech for the 5g network, but what does that have to do with wifi. I'm not complaining but it's getting better signal reception for everything. I mean even the crap freedom network is suddenly working like it's a big 3 network. I thought for sure I would have a shitty time with freedom, but what the heck, it's almost as good as koodo. Now I'm 100% certain that it's something to do with this phone.

I tried calling in today and could not get the offer even after escalation to the loyalty team. They would only offer $20/month credit despite me referencing the promotion on the website.

The rep insisted that is the best they are able to offer. She seemed genuine. When I threatened to setup a new account under another household member's name she even offered to help me place the order!

Was it bad luck or have others had the same experience today?

I called in today and retentions wouldn't extend my 100/10 for $37.50. So I decided to go a head with the cancellation. I guess others were just lucky.

More likely the promotion expired. In the same boat and deciding next steps.
