Kinda sucks we’d need a SFP for it

A heads up folks, I bought the tp link mc220l to bypass home hub 3000(Valerie).
With the Valerie, I can get 950/150 speed ( I know it sounds crazy as this way exceeds what I am paying for 100/10, not sure what happened)
But once I use tp link media converter to connect fiber to Ethernet, and with my own Orbi router, I can only get 500/100. I think the 500 cap on download is somewhat the mc220l culprits, if you want to by pass home hub 3000, please keep it in mind.

I just dial in directly through PPPoE, no need for a SFP.DealCanuck wrote: ↑ For the HH3000 you need an SFP for bridge to work correctly

I also had the issue where the monthly credits were not applied on my Jan bill. Pressed 0 for customer care, agent manually adjusted my bill right away without any fuss or pushback. May take about 30 minutes for the online account to properly update your new balance.

Wow, you guys are getting billing errors with Virgin. This was my darkest fear with them. They make it sound like it's an error but I can't help but feel that it's intentional. Bell has been doing this type of thing for years.
None of this nonsense with Fido, FYI.

Honestly Virgin has been a pain to deal with. I signed up online through the chat, and had an email saying $40/month. So far I've been billed $50 for month 1 and $45 for month 2, I have to keep calling in to get them to fix it. Going to wait for my $50 gift card and might switch back to Fido at the next 50% off deal.

If you keep having problems with them, remember there is always the CCTS. File a complaint and then watch Bell suddenly start to treat you better. A CCTS complaint takes 5 minutes online also. Quicker and easier than dealing with Bell. Probably better results also. Good luck.sixteen12 wrote: ↑ Honestly Virgin has been a pain to deal with. Yes. These guy are notorious for billing "errors", especially when your original promo ends and everything needs to be adjusted manually each time.

Apologies if this has been answered already but I'm currently with Virgin mobile but plan on switching back to fido in a month or two. Will I still get the promo price of $35/month if I enroll in the internet plan before I switch my mobile plan? Also, is this valid in Quebec?
EDIT: I just called and this plan isn't available in Quebec and it's $55/month which is a rip off imo. Videotron it is!

Seems like current offer is a $25/month credit for 12 months (non-mobile customer).

Did they increase the price by $2.50 for everyone who's grandfathered? My plan went from $50 to $52.50 for 25mbps.
