How does this work with recent ports? Are you able to port your number back to Virgin from another provider within a week?

Switched out to Public. Lets see if I receive a call/email.

For those who received email, was that a different email than the one they send to confirm the port?

-$45 Monthly
-25GB LTE Data
-Unlimited Call/text
-1000 LD minutes
-$400 Device credit
[Update] - Was also offered $40 credit to cover activation with Freedom and $45 credit for device upgrade fee that would be charged.

I was with Virgin for over 13 months before porting out. Was on a $40 - 6GB (unlimited minutes and 1000LD minutes) loyalty plan with $10 credit that expired last month which forced me to make this change. THe loyalty was not offering me anything better - ($50-8GB) before porting out.

I have 2 questions that I thought the community could help me out.
1. I do not need a new cellphone but want to use that $400 to get one and sell it at the best possible price. The most sensible option to me is getting an iPhone 12 because other phones are discounted in market for outright purchase? Does that make sense? Also should I get 64GB or 128GB variant (prefer 128GB) since I think most people would be buying at least that amount of storage today.
2. If I cancel with Freedom, would they charge me only for the days I have used or for the full month?

Additional Info: The rep talked about 3 plans that are available under the winback. The other two were a $10 - 1GB plan and a $35 - 2GB plan (couldn't capture what he said exactly but I can confirm when he calls back confirmed)

Edit: Updated thread title and post to reflect location, added additional info.
My account shows 45 or 95

Did the agreement for you guys show the discount at any point?

Mine just says $100/month.

Under the monthly plan charge, it said 95. No mention of the $50 discount. The total monthly payment was 95 plus device payment. But it reflected in the bill. The device credit on the other hand was mentioned.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll give a final update around the 14th - my billing cycle date.

Does anyone know if new lines are eligible for this plan? Or you have to wait for a bit?

Let me get this straight. Carriers can easily provide these kinda plans (45$ for 25 gb) and I am sure they can still profit coz if they dint they wouldnt give you these plans. And yet they dont give these plans to regular customers and customers have to go through several hoops to get them. Isnt this **** up?

Confirming this is still available (excluding the LD minutes, I didn't push for them) - ported out and received a win-back call the next day.

Any luck? I'm in the same boat. If this plan or the $39 9GB plan is available I'm in. It'll be dumb if it's winback only.

Did you receive a call back?

If so which plan they offered you?
