Decent; With LTE speeds this is better than the Public 8GB plan for $50. $6 for 2 extra GB and Speeds from 3G - LTE

Did you call and asked to be transferred to loyalty or was it through chat? I am not sure but someone said that Loyalty could be Philipines call center or was it from within Canada? Did you ask whether there was a counter plan for $75 unlimited Data?

Hah. Until three months down the road they raise the price $5, just like they did with the 10gb $60 plans.

I have the $60/10 GB with 2GB bonus. Then they raised the price to $65. I wonder if I can get them to knock it back down to $56 and keep my 2GB bonus addon.

I just googled virgin mobile canada customer service, called their number, got through to the agent, asked him about the $56 for 10 gig loyalty offer and he found it in my account in under a minute. He did mention price can change but still happy i'll be paying less for the next whatever monhts until they raise it! It is only for existing members from what the agent told me.

I'm currently on $55 BYOP with 4GB data.

Customer service offered nothing good. Transferred to retentions who did not offer the $56 for 10GB, but did offer $10/month discount for 12 months (so effectively $45 / month) with 6GB, which I think is decent.

Thanks OP for reminding us that it always pays to ask when it comes to cell phone plans Face With Tears Of Joy

You can set up a prepaid and migrate to postpaid for $40/6GB

Thanks OP! Was on the 10gb plan and annoyed at the $5 raise. Called, rep found the plan and applied. Not as good as the original $50/10gb w/ discount but sure better than 65!

i am on the rare 8gb / $40 with Koodo. Wanna jump ship but Virgin has been known to raise prices. However coverage with Bell is quite decent wherever you go. So I am unsure of this.

Keep that plan forever, unless they offer a better deal or a great data add-on. I was sad that I was on contract with Virgin at the time.

Does the BYOP 10% off stack on top of this?

I was told that if you have BYOP 10% Off it will fall off. I am going to call loyalty tomorrow to verify. The first line rep mentioned it and said it was tied to my old plan. Although, I am pretty certain BYOP is a separate code in the system. As long as they dont touch it, it should still stay. However, I am not a rep so can't confirm the backend system. On another note, if you have the old plan, VM total is 10 messages, the new one has only 3 message total.
