I'm going to give them a call, and see if I can get my 10GB plan reduced from $65 to $56 and keep my 2Gb bonus addon, and move my pre to post 6GB migration plan onto the same account to get the 10% multi-line discount.

Good deal, thanks OP. Can anybody explain if Virgin is interested in 'enslaving' BYOP customers?

Does it offer better conditions to convert BYOP customers to contract (cheaper phones etc)? Because as I understand as far as BYOP customers are free to go - they get the best rates possible, so they should be interest to 'lock you' for 2 years :)

Hah. Until three months down the road they raise the price $5, just like they did with the 10gb $60 plans.
I have that plan for our my son but with 1 GB bonus data on top for 11, it used to be $60 and then went to $65, still a good deal. Then yesterday I spoke w Loyalty on another note about my main line but I was able to negotiate 10% off his plan which is a byob. $58.50 mthly w 11gb, no complaints. It's not worth giving it up, and we just buy our hardware new off CL and have always scored deals. Soon he will be picking up the tab into uni and he agrees it's a deal.

So I just called and got the BYoP 56 plan. Was previously on another BYoP plan no contract. The $10/mo discount I had is going to still carry over so I’m expecting a bill for $46/mo. Score!

Were you with Koodo prior to switching to this plan? I'm on the $60 for 10gb BYOD plan with Koodo from a few Decembers ago and what you have seems identical but $5 less. Wouldn't mind saving $5.

Just got this plan - it looks like they try to offer you other things before getting to this. I had to specifically mention the $56/10gb for the agent to bring it up.

Thanks OP!

Same here......I told them I wanted the better10gb being offered (currently at 65$) They said that is the best deal at the moment. I said NO, there is a 55 or 56$ deal...they said "Let me look ...oh yes, I see it." Very dishonest practices.

I'm new to Virgin over the last month and signed up for the BYOB 65 with the $10/month discount. They told me I was not qualified for this offer because I was not with them for 90 days. I'm hoping Fido or Koodo will offer something similar and I'll jump ship.

I was with virgin. Fido was offering the same since I was porting out of virgin. I came across both at their respective kiosk in the west Edmonton mall.

I believe anyone can get 8gb for 50$ for the first 12 months (60$ plan with 10$ discount for 12 months)
how? Do you just have to ask? i doubt they are going to give you a 120 credit if you simply ask

I'd be curious about this as well.. I'm currently on the $40 8gb koodo plan which I'll be keeping, but my sister is on the $60 10gb plan. Either way I'm going to let her know. Then she can see if she can get the $5 off, plus the international calling.

Just called them, was told by the main call center that I was eligible to switch from my old 4GB/$50 BYOP promo plan. Then when I was transferred to the loyalty department, they said this promo is only for ON and QC (I'm in AB). Anyone outside of those provinces have luck getting this deal?
