[Visions Electronics] $4 [87% OFF] Monster Mobile 4-Port USB Rapid Charging Hub

Monster Mobile 4-Port USB Rapid Charging Hub
Deal Expiry: January 13, 2022

Just did free in-store pickup. Not USB-C though, but the quality is decent and the sale price is great. Thought I'd share in case others were in need like I was. Slightly Smiling Face

Thanks OP. Would this hub work with flash drives? Not able to get much info from my research.

How is it a rapid charging hub when it has to split a single usb power feed over 4 consumers? you want a hub that has an external power supply to be able to be "rapid". You can't make a lot out of a little.

Looks like just a cheap USB hub, wouldn't be surprised if it's in Dollarama soon.

my guess, if u really charge 4 devices at the same time, each port might not be over 0.5A; probably 2A for all 4.

Will burn your USB port soon or later, with that many devices.

I bought this a couple months basically it's just a 4 port USB hub. I tried charging my phone using one of the ports and it is really slow. I use one of the ports for my Logitech mouse USB and works fine.

Old school...15 year old usb 6 ports but powered. These used to be around $5 to $10 in the day. Works fine for me as another tool when needing to plug devices in.

For $4 this is acceptable, but if you need a real hub for multiple USB keys or whatever, the USB 2.0 will hold you back a lot. IMO it is worth just paying for a USB 3.0 powered hub/switch for $15-25 as it will be far more versatile. This shouldn't be called a charging hub at all though lol.

I use my 3.0 USB hub + switch to extend the reach of my peripheral cables since I have a large desk, while also being able to switch from my work laptop and PC.

Not rapid charging, no external power supply, and USB 2.0. Hard, hard pass.

Seems to me there's two functions it reads as "4 USB ports to any charger and peripherals to any laptop"
but perhaps should be "4 USB ports to any charger OR peripherals to any laptop"

Perhaps connected to a charger there's enough juice to charge other devices. But to a laptop it's just simply a connection for peripherals.
