Your internet speed is determined by 3 factors: the speed that you paid your ISP for, the speed of the router, and the speed of the device being connected. Most of the time, people are bottlenecked by the ISP because they didn't pay enough for the speeds they want.

The main advantage of this router would be the large amount of connected devices as well as the coverage. It could also be useful if you have a NAS, as within your own network you are only limited by the speed of your router/devices. This means that connecting a SSD to the router, and from the router to the PC, you would get the full 2.5gbit speeds.
To be honest, it depends what's inside your walls. I wouldn't expect dramatic differences in Wi-Fi range from what you have.
