None of the Asus laptops (A15, A17, G14, G15) were available in stores any ways and haven't been for months. They're all on special order that make you wait 4-6 weeks, which by that time will start back to school sales.
Plus I wouldn't leave $2000 in transit like that, especially with a bunch of businesses having sudden closures during this time.

Sounds to me like there is way too much excitement for a 1660ti max q with only 1 ram slot and 1 hd Slot. No Thunderbolt and smaller SSD.

Mine arrived from Staples today (they had it in stock while Visions said back ordered). This thing feels much more premium than I expected. VERY solid build quality - feels like I could use this thing to fend off an intruder. The keyboard is a pleasure to type on and the screen is really nice. Really excited to finally try out a Ryzen laptop that feels premium, instead of all the others that have significant trade-offs in quality. Only minor complaints so far are the positioning of the USB-C ports so far forward on the chassis, and a bit of seemingly excessive fan noise during routine stuff (windows update etc), but it's really not too bad.

The $1499 price is back until August 13. I placed an order today at that price at Scarborough Visions and they told me 2-4 weeks - salesman there told me it was below cost on their system fwiw (salesmanship and all). It seems Bestbuy is also selling at this price until Aug 13 but they're OOS.
