Because they've been sold out since. The Miles Davis Trumpets with Control Talk also went on sale for $98.

Last time the controltalk version was on sale, I hesitated and missed it. They ones without control talk was still on sale, but I didn't buy them. i remember them being in stock for a long time.

I don't know if I can do without, I like the convenience of changing tracks with the controls, don't know if I can pull the trigger...

seriously, I'm not surprised. it's harder for electronics stores to rip ppl off the other 364 days of the year now(internet is so easy to compare prices) so they can't really afford to sell anything below cost anymore.
