[Visions Electronics] Denon X3700H Receiver - $1134.87 after PM

Visions has the Denon AVRX3700H in stock for $1699.

Price Match Amazon.ca which has it for $1208.45 and Visions will beat the price difference by 15% - total price of $1134.87 for a brand new receiver that hasn't really gone on sale much at all.

Even with a basic 5.1 setup, I went with this over the X2700H due to the much better calibration / speaker setup the X3700H has.

This receiver also has 1x HDMI 2.1 port ready for the next-gen consoles. Personally, I don't see a need for more than one so I'm happy to get this replacing my 10 year old Yamaha.

One HDMI 2.1 will be limiting in the future, especially if you’re looking at a 10 year time horizon. Apples to oranges a bit but I would much rather buy a Yamaha RX-V6 if I needed a receiver right now (other feature sets aside, I only need 7.1)

If only Costco Canada could get the Yamaha TSR-700...

Denon makes me think of girdle-jerries, flex tandems pin-flam-fastened pan traps at both maiden-apexes of the jim-joist. might be a good deal, but going to Iran is critical.

Yes I can.
Prices eventually go down if you wait long enough. Until it disappears.

Is this guy high, or am I just too much of a laymen on this topic?

There's a YouTube link higher to explain, but I can't be bothered so I'll just assume he's high.

Just as a reference the 3600H went for as long as $590+HST in Nov 2019-Dec2019 as YMMV through visions price match, and was widely available for $799 at bestbuy and visions.

The 3700h is not worth the extra $400.

I would spend the extra $400 on getting a preamp for the L-R channels and extend it to a 11.2 Atmos setup. That's what I did and it's amazing.

I know there's no time machine, but I would 100% wait till black Friday and boxing week before commiting to a receiver. I see deals Every year on Denon and Marantz every year.

I have a Sony X900H and an older Denon X6200W model, do I need this in order to support PS5 eARC/ALLM/VRR or can I stick to my older Denon model and my TV for HDR+/Dolby Vision etc

You'll need an HDMI 2.1 receiver.
