We would've killed for QLED pricing like this in 2018.

That said, back to school may be a good anchor point to expect better pricing.

As soon as late June.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

decent price for 32 local dimming areas with Android tv and Chromecast included
Always buy now & think later, or else you'll regret your decision forever.
The first rule of RFD is to not talk about RFD or call customer service to ask about price errors.
The second rule of RFD is to not forget about the first rule.

The Q8"G" means its the 2020 model.

I'm waiting for the Q7G. It's basically the same TV as the Q8G minus wide colour gamut, but it's also $100 cheaper. Walmart has them but currently OOS.

At Costco, 55Q8809 is on now for $647.99. How's that compare?

The G generation QLEDs are apparently a noticeable improvement over the F.

This has been an underrated year for TVs, if you set aside this chest cold going around.

The Q8G is an upgrade over the Q7G in the 2020 series.

It's also one step below their flagship Q9G.

For $698, you have a contender, a potential Samsung Q60T beater.

How is Dolby Atmos included in this TV? Does it only work on the internal speakers or can it pass it through to another receiver?

I recently placed an order for the Q8G and Q9G. I will be able to share my findings hopefully in the coming weeks. I use last year's Q9 daily and really enjoy it. Yes, the OS is pretty slow, but that's more an issue with the inefficient Android TV OS and less an issue with Hisense. Rumor is Android TV is due for a huge overhaul this year alongside a dedicated Chromecast OS that ditches gaming and favors entertainment, so that may fix sluggish issues on panels like these if it migrates into TV OS's

If Visions shipped the 65" Q8G I would likely order it even if I had to pay shipping. I think Leons is charging 1150$ on their Q8G so it would likely even out.

I’m sure Costco will get the Q7 G back in and honestly the fact that it’s $30 less than Costco plus $60 for 5 years Warranty makes it worth It and then some.

The ONLY difference is the WCG, and based on what Fomo on Tech has said, it’s meaningless.

That’s is the ONLY difference. Same dimming zones, same brightness same literal everything. The difference in price in the Q9G however there IS a lot better there. More dimming zones and I believe higher brightness.

The only thing that differentiates the q7 and the Q8G is that wide colour gamut. That’s it. And you almost certainly won’t notice it.
