Anyone have a 4K smart Hisense TV? I'm considering this one but some of the Amazon reviews are worrisome.

The Q8G has better reviews but a little bit more expensive

We have a 65 inch from Costco and it has worked flawlessly for around a year now. It plays all the video files we throw at it, whereas our older samsungs are a bit picky with file types. Netflix, Amazon, Disney and a ton of other apps come pre installed and all work. Picture quality is great as long as you have a good source

I think he was replying to DaMan12 above. And I think Tjklovesthisplace is talking about the Roku one.

If you end up buying a cheaper branded tv opt in for the extended warranty. I recently had an issue with my Vizio tv that I picked up from Costco. It worked perfectly fine and now it’s been about 2.5 years and the screen went black. Thankfully I bought the extended warranty, and it included an extra 3 years on top of the 2 years it already came with for an extra 30 bucks.

Yea I've been holding out hoping for a 65"+ TV with 120 Hz refresh rate for ~1K. Hasn't happened yet.

lollll I think he's referring to high-end as in a Sony X800h or Samsung Tu8000. Those are in the same class as this Hisense H78G but just $1000 more for the badge.

120hz High-end Tv's by Sony and Samsung start at either the X900h or the Q70T which will not go close to 1k this year or next year lol. Just get the Hisense Q8 or Q9 or a TCL 6 series when they go on sale again, you will not be disppointed.

Did they come to your home and fixed it? Or they took it away and gave money back?

I got 70in Hisense and wondering if I need to keep the box... I guess will call and ask :)

Thanks

The tech came to my home and tried to fix it. They said about 80 percent of the time it's the motherboard related for Vizio TVs. The tech came prepared and had a new motherboard on hand. Sadly, the new motherboard didn’t fix the issue. The tech needed to take my tv into a repair centre and told me that in the next few days they will let me know what to expect. My guess it will be a credit as Vizio TVs are no longer carried in Canada and parts maybe too expensive to fix.

You can also save an additional $25 if you choose pick-up in store, shows my total being $822.56 before taxes, not bad.

When will they go on sale again? Do you have link to Q8 or 6 series?

I know the Q8 was posted here a month or so ago. Can't find the thread. 6 series hasn't gone on sale for a while, I believe the last time was Christmas/Boxing day.

All the 2020 models will be discounted very soon as they start rolling out their 2021 models. I usually just create an alert on RFD when I want a specific brand and wait for a deal.

The Q8, Q9 and 6 Series are far more superior than any Samsung/Sony/LG TV you can get in their price range.
