Good call guys and thanks for pointing that out, had to take another look at that graph lol.

Seems the Dayton is the way to go for sure until I'm ready for SVS. Just for music in my case.

I wonder how the slim SUB-1000L performs compared to the smaller cube 10", WAF is big.
Looks like it goes quite low but cant play very loud.

The monoprice one for $200 isn't bad. I would expect it to have a large advantage over the KEF because of the driver size.

But personally, I'd do yourself a favor and buy an Alpine type R from some kids car and pair with either a cheap plate amp, or Inuke3000/Behringer ep4000 for the inevitable time when you will ask for another subwoofer for your room.
DIY is the way to go for subs. Easy and plenty of good drivers used. Just takes a little time and effort.

My DIY days are behind me (for now, perhaps when we get into a house with a nice shed or garage workspace!) but I do like that idea.

My application is 100% music, not a single movie is watched in my office where it's going (a small and oddly shaped room as well), but I play music regularly throughout most days. I wish the BIC H-100 was on that graph! Many people seem to enjoy it for music, and Amazon is a safe bet. That said I can't help but think the Monoprice would suffice for much less.

The KEF does seem to be designed specifically for the corresponding soundbar as well.

I just picked up a second Polk Audio HTS10 10" Subwoofer for my HT system ... now 7.2 ... from Visions for $308+taxes.

The Polk HTS10 is way better ... amazing lows!
