[Visions Electronics] Kef LS50 23% off at Visions

Went to Visions tonight looking for Kef R3 bookshelf speakers and they didn't have any in stock, only special order now. But they had other Kef speakers with posted prices significantly lower than on their website. Basically selling new at the open box prices. Actually the LS50 Meta's in-store new price was $1699, $200 cheaper than the open box price on their website ($1897), and $500 (23%) off the regular price of $2198.

The LS50 Wireless II active speakers were posted for $2999 new, which I believe is the same as their current open box offer on the website.

Not sure if this is new, but will go back on the weekend and see if I can get a couple hundred more off on the Wireless II and maybe jump on those.

This was at Visions in Vancouver (marine drive location). Staff was friendly and did not put any high pressure sales on, which was nice. I just wanted to see everything in person, would go back to the store for sure.

You can bargain to bring the LS50 Meta down to $1400 if you speak with store manager.

I have original LS50. I’m contemplating to either buy LS50 Meta or wait until KEF releases R3 Meta. They already started introducing Meta on their other major speaker lines

The original LS50 they were clearing out for $899 last year. I honestly don't think that extra hockey puck worth $800 more. There are lab results proved that it only eliminates noise by a small margin.

Ok, got the Kef R3 (brand new, not open box) instead at 1785$, pretty great deal. That’s $2000 with tax here in BC.

Just breaking them in now, a truly beautiful speaker in the walnut finish with the brown suede grills.

Woah, just bought some cheap (but heavy) stands off Craigslist and these speakers improved massively, bass is a whole new story , way more clean and some serious low end thump... If you get these speakers don't put them on a credenza like I did at first, get some stands!

I found a Guy on Kijiji in Winnipeg (!) and low-balled him, I didn’t even know he was selling for visions, the ad didn’t indicate any store.

We settled on 2K all-in and he did the leg work to find a set near me and setup the deal with the local manager. Picked them up the next day at the visions down the hill from me. Brand new, sealed box.

The local manager said to go directly to him next time (of course), but it was easier to negotiate with the other guy.

Now that's some hustle. I have never heard of a retail sales person making a sale that way before.

Any idea what a set of Q150’s can be dealed down to? I want a white set to finish off my setup. Looks like the current 498 price is higher than the winter deal. Wondering if they’ll budge since the white are special order.

I picked up mine from Amazon for $299. I think they were matching visions at the time and that's the lowest I've seen them.

At least to the open box price of $398, maybe a little lower but its a pretty cheap item so not as much room to flex. Could try asking for $400 all in
