The newer model was 1650 at Best Buy two weeks ago. No point in paying more.

At 32:9, it's not as bad as you think. This panel is effectively as tall as a 24" 1080p panel.

For many, this is a highly livable display.

Now given my love for the tremendous value for money 43" 4K IPS panels from LG, namely the LG UM7300 43", $428 seems much more reasonable than $1149.
