[Visions Electronics] Samsung HW-N950 Bluetooth Soundbar with Dolby Atmos - $1298

This seems to be the cheapest in a long time, for a $2000 sound bar setup. Price is up there, but the reviews are really good.

Agreed. Wonder whether I should get this one vs. yamaha vs. vizio...decision decision...

Yamaha would be significantly cheaper / apples and oranges...

With this, there is no price beat opportunities/ Seems Visions and AVU are the only stores that carry them.

Not much of a deal.
Bought the same one last year around this time for $1,000.
Great sound bar otherwise.

Did you post that deal? Where did you get it, since it seems to be a new sound bar for 2019, how did you buy it last year, 2018?

Not sure about been 2019 model. It certainly was available Nov. 22, 2018 (date on my receipt).
Same model HWN950. Using it for close to an year. Works and looks great in my family room.
Got it from Visions week or so after I bought the LG OLED65C8.
Both working great together.

So you got a 50% off deal on a soundbar that was realeased that year. Did you post the deal for others, that would be half off. I cant seem to find it

Not everyone is obliged to post a hot deal if they found one. Stop questioning the man if he posted the deal and that you can't find it.

In January I bought the HW-N850 for $800 from Visions. Prices were negotiated in store and hundreds below the listed price (did the same for a 65" Q9FN), so I didn't post, imagine he did the same.

Love this sound bar. Added the two rear speakers last month and it's even better now.

Anything Samsung in the AV market has an insane amount of profit. What you can bargain in store at visions / BB is not even including what they get as sellthroughs or incentives. Cost around this time of year is about 800 for the n850 and 1000 for the n950. Might be even lower.

Edit I forgot the n series is last years. The cost I mentioned applies for the q 2019 series. Don't bother getting the discontinued 2018 series for this price unless lower than I mentioned.

Sales over, kinda. Sales been extended, but now its $1498

I know I bought the Vizeo one at Costco with the rear sattelites speakers (non atmos) I havent even unboxed it yet. Debating on just saving my money up and getting something I want. Ive decided due to the layout of my basement, Im just not going for a wired system, no matter how much better they are. Ive had one and I know

While expensive, with Black Friday coming up maybe Ill get like the other poster for under $1000.

And whats the difference between these besides model number. Top one is the one on sale

https://www.samsung.com/ca/audio-video/hw-q90r/

They seem to be identical?

Owned the K950 and it was outstanding for Atmos but fell flat on DD 5.1. Weak signals to the back and barely any sound. Don't know if the N950 improved it but I sold the K950 after 9 months for a traditional set up with receiver and 5.1.2 setup. Cost me a lot more due to the wiring and drywall repair for the ceiling and rear speakers but the results are stunning. With Atmos material being more and more present on Netflix and Apple Movie rentals, it's almost ready for prime time but test out 5.1 DD to make sure you are happy with it.
