[Visions Electronics] Visions Electronics Phone VR Headset with Bluetooth Controller $5

I bought one of these at Loblaws in Richmond Hill ON on clearance for $5.
It comes with an external bluetooth remote controller
While doing a bit of research on the price of the headset - I found that Visions is also dumping them for $5

You can do ISPU for free. Seeing your location as Toronto, they have a location in Scarborough (Kennedy Commons) as well as Mississauga, Brampton, Whitby, and more in Ontario and other provinces. All the Ontario ones show as "In Stock" when choosing them for pickup.

But then are they worth $5 even? I don't know. Maybe if you were headed to Kennedy Commons for some Jollibee or something anyway Face With Tears Of Joy

I have a full Oculus, but for $5 worth a shot.
Might be fun to use Netflix on while I travel.
Thx OP.

$5 is nice to mess around with, just don't expect it to compare with something like Gear VR or Oculus Go. It's Google cardboard in a plastic shell.

For 5 bucks I'll take two. It's nice for party tricks or give to my friend's/neighbor's kids for the sheer novelty effect.

Thanks OP. Ordering online now

Looks like they are using Canadian Tire's sales tactics. $79.99 regular price on for $5, 93% off. I think they have had these on for $5 and $10 a few times before.

I think it’s more the fact that vr never took off the way some suits thought it would.

Just picked one up.

It won't compete with a Gear or Oculus but it's far far better than Google cardboard.

This will in no way compare to Oculus Rift or even Oculus Go. But $5 it's worth for just the bluetooth controller alone. I wouldn't mind picking it up to play with for half an hour to see how much better my PSVR is though XD

Oculus and PSVR are still growing, cardboard is just an awful representation of what modern VR should be. I see these plastic shells on sale everywhere now, having tried everything from cardboard to Vive you get what you pay for.

VR is alive and well, the next gen HMD's have been announced and are on their way.

This will go as far as your phone will go. If you have a phone with a QHD display it's certainly something to try (granted nothing near Oculus Go, but for $5 you won't find a better starting point).
