great speakers for their price!

several people have commented on the clarity and the output (if paired to a nice A/V receiver)

This deal seems to be on every couple months. They're good but realize these are entry level polk floorspeakers. I wouldn't buy em for any more than 150.

I got these two years ago at Future Shop's Boxing Day for $99.99/pair!!

They are great as Fronts but I used them as Rear Surrounds after I got my RTiA5's.

I'm curious about this, too. I'd love to use these as rears with my RTi4 and 6's, but I have no idea if they match up.

why force it?
audio is so personal. 1000 ppl could tell you these are the greatest speakers every made and it wouldn't make any difference. if you don't like them, don't waste your money.
besides, like mentioned, this deal comes around often. you won't miss out if you wait, you'll just have to wait a bit longer

Speakers can sound very noticeably different after the initial break-in period. Give them a good 5hrs+ of easy listening before making your decision.

I bought these about 8 months ago at the same price and initially used them as fronts. They eventually got downgraded to rears when I bought some JBL ES80's, and do the job just fine. It depends on your application and what you're pairing them with though, and again it's very subjective. No one can tell you what sounds good, only you can decide.
