Considered buying this monitor, the reviews scared me away. Dead pixels, sleep wake up issues, hdr not working.. The Samsung reviews section slams this monitor down really hard. You can see them under reviews on the visions link as well.

Oh, I wouldn't go by that. Professional reviewers get handpicked units which are checked before they're sent out to them. Most of the complaints are about bad QC not the tech in the monitor itself.

Tech and feature set scores 10/10 in my books.

Don't have this model but a 34" inch dell curved screen. It's beyond nice to look at things and is super immersive.
Downsides I can think of would be depends on what you play as not everything always support 3440×1440 and you'll have to scale down.
Uses a lot more conputer power vs 1080p resolution.

Staples allows in-store returns for online items, eh? If QC is a problem with these guys, easy returns would might make it worth the try

This is not a 3440x1440 monitor.

Thanks. Im talking about what I have, like I stated.
3440 and 2560 isn't a huge difference it will still be a lot more stressful to run higher resolutions.

I have the 27" version and it's awesome. Maybe I got a good one. The only thing I have done is updated the firmware and changed the color profile.

The 32'' version is notorious for backlight flickering, something the 27'' avoids
