[Visions | Staples | Walmart] DJI Osmo Mobile 3 - $105

Deal Link:
Price:
105
DJI is having a sale on their DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and so far it looks like a few retailers have dropped their price.

Staples Osmo Mobile alone is OOS but the Osmo Combo $135 is in stock for $135.99. Anyone got a Staples coupon?

Visions Osmo Mobile $105 and Osmo Combo $135

Walmart Osmo $105 and Osmo mobile Combo $135

Buying from DJI directly will cost $79USD (~112CAD) with no tax but $12USD shipping. Free shipping over $159USD. They have a new limited edition gift box for $119USD which includes everything in the combo plus a digital photo frame.

If you think this is a selfie stick then you don't really know what it is. I've never used it to take a photo/video of myself but I do use it for timelapse and panoramas.

The case and tripod are worth $20 to me, you pay $10 extra in the combo to have matching colour and a nice organized kit. The osmo 3 is robust enough to not really require a case. The included tripod is small and light but limited use.

A slim case should be fine but a heavier case might cause issues. Also depends on if you have a regular or large phone. I would say that my pixel 3xl with a slim rubber case were close to the limit of the gimbal. Specs list a payload capacity of 6 to 8.11 oz / 170 to 230 g

Yes you can. I would recommend a slim profile kinda case.

I am using it with iPhone XS Max with a slim case.

Did you shot any video with your phone longer than a minute? The shaking and jerkiness make most videos unwatchable. A 3-axis gimbal makes everything smooth as silk and film like.

Will the osmo be awesome to use to shoot video of my baby crawling around and learning how to walk?

Yes, If you are following your baby around then video would be less jerky. Alternatively, you can setup the osmo on a tripod and use the tracking feature to track your baby moving around a room.

I've been debating between the Osmo 3 and the Zhiyun Smooth q2. I keep going back and forth but haven't seen the Q2 on sale for this low of a price. I don't think the combo is worth the extra $30 as a tripod can be purchased for ~$5 a nicer/bigger case (one that actually fits the tripod) for another $15-$20. Wish Staples had it in stock so i can use the $10 off coupon.

Yeah, I have made a 30 minute of my month long vacation highlights with clips longer than a minute.

This is not a selfie stick.

For one, this gimbal is barely more than a feet long. Selfie sticks are bigger than one feet when fully extended. Selfie sticks don't have tracking, can't do shotgun pan shots, or take multiple automated panoramas. Selfie sticks are banned at some amusement parks, such as Disneyland and Disneyworld. I brought it to Disneyland and they didn't care, even took it on some lighter rides like the teacup ride and the carousel.

To say this is a selfie stick is ignorant.

Anyone know how big the digital photo frame is?

And what the damage would be on duties/taxes/handling?

An 8-inch digital photo frame and 8GB SD memory card. No duties or taxes with DJI.
