In essence, both are low profile, but the 750 is quieter and generally newer.

They also sell dry jars at the Roadshow for CAD$100.

The Roadshow rep I talked to claimed that the Roadshow prices are lower than elsewhere, but the comparison is a bit hard since I'm not sure whether the 6500 is actually sold anywhere else.

thanks plintimus. that's very helpful. Is the 6500 the only model that Costco sells as part of the road show? the website price (in USD) seems to show both the 6500 and 750 at $599. If the price is the same and Costco roadshow sells them both, I'd probably prefer to go with the quieter 750 model. In addition, the 750 is a G-series model vs the 6500 that is C-series model.

my preference would be to buy the Ascent if it's within the same price range so curious if Costco Roadshow sells them as well.

Not sure where you're located but you missed a good sale not long ago (back in Sept) on Vitamix.

The Vitamix Professional Series 780 was $475 ( no tax if you paid cash too).

I know there's no time machine ....This info is only of value if you're willing to wait a year for next sale.

I live in Vaughan but frequently go back to markham as I grew up there and my parents are still there.

Can't recall the name of the company but they're a distributor of Breville/Vitamix and other brands. The sale was located right near you around Whitmore and Rowntree (I took a pic at the time and it had location on it).

thanks alot hdom. i checked the goodlife benefits and they indeed have vitamix for 20% off on red corner store through goodlife right now. however, the warranty period seems very different than the actual vitamix. for the ascent 2500, it's 3 years on red corner vs 10 years on the vitamix website. makes me a bit worried buying through this site..

If warranty is from manufacturer, wouldn't it be the same as and set by Vitamix ? May be check with Vitamix on if RC is an official dealer and two if warranty should be the same. Honestly, I think it may just be a typo on RC site since the Pro model shows 7yrs which may be wrong too.
