They are OK provider, I think I've only 1 or 2 downtime from 1 -1/2 years with them (on cable), but be careful if you rent their modem, keep all their original boxes or else they will charge you a fee Smiling Face With Horns

>>> Modem - Packaging $22.94 [missing or damaged component] (tax: $2.99)

but who in the world now use 6 Mbps these days? Smiling Face With Open Mouth

PS: Someone has used my referral and even I'm no longer with them it's still working just un FYI :)

Not sure if it has improved but I had them before and switched back to cable as soon as I could. I had constant disconnections and was forever resetting my modem. Not sure it was a line problem but it was annoying.

Had my father subscribed to Vmedia and the price kept raising atleast 2 times per year. Speeds were throttled for sure and they don't do well with IPTV services.

I use them for about 4 years. Works OK. A few times they wanted to raise the price, you'll have to tell them that you'd leave and the price would stay.

No issues, had it for few years as well until I had to move due to work. Prices were decent, they do tell you if prices will increase

We have Vmedia internet since 2013, even had Vmedia TV in 2014.

Here in Cogeco land, until recently there was not much choice of Internet. Cogeco or independents. Vmedia had good reviews at that time, so we went with them and never changed. The service is good. We had a few disconnects, everyone has, but not more than a couple per year, and not long lasting.
Yes there were price increases, but not very often. Last it was in 2019.
We started at 25 Mbps, we are now at 60/10, started paying $40/month for that 25 in 2013, we now pay $74 for 60 Mbps. Bought the modem, always did that.

And the 60 Mbps are real, get 65 down and 12 up with Ookla. We can have two 1080p streams in the house with Amazon Prime or Netflix and we never had a problem at any time of day, so I don't believe they are oversubscribed, at least not in our area.

If your modem was acting up it would have been line issues; So infrastructure, rather than ISP. More than likely locale.

Good for people having basic internet needs. Not sure if other ISPs give such low price. In fact many ISPs have discontinued low MBps plans.

Anyone who doesn't have a lot of traffic, or who is in an area with poor quality infrastructure - I have client who uses low speed DSL to monitor building air conditioning systems and to remotely access their access control systems. They have ~50 buildings done that way.

There is an asterix on the offer and if you look, you discover that this is a 6 month offer with a specified price increase to $34.95.
