Great price on this motherboard. Requires waiting until next year for the bios update to be compatible with the Ryzen 5000 series. Supports 3000 series out of the box. One disadvantage is no PCIE 4.0. Any thoughts?

I might just build a new system next year instead.
Supply and demand; lots of people started buying systems for work/school from home and/or entertainment, just as factories had to shut down (albeit not for long). Businesses are having to buy whatever they can get their hands on, school districts are still placing huge orders, it's probably going to be like this for a while.

Besides not being PCIE 4, is able to work Ryzen 3800X and RTX 3080?

I recently picked up Asus AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) for $229.99

Is worth switching?
