Off topic but I've been meaning to ask in one of the PSU threads.
I have a Enermax Revolution D.F. 650W (rated highest tier according to that list floating around) and I'm running a Gigabyte 3080 OC + Ryzen 3600 on it.
Is that enough? Sometimes textures weirdly flicker (temporarily for like 2 seconds) when I switch back and forth from desktop back to my game. This did not used to happen with my old 3070 FE.
Could this imply that the PSU is struggling to ramp up the GPU?

Not expert here but sounds more like a driver issue to me?...If the setup is struggling then the flickering should not happen when switching back and forth, instead it should happen when you max out the graphics or under heavy load.

You are below the recommended wattage for the 3080 not because of average draw which is half that but peak usage. Not sure why you would cheap out like that give the fact you have an 3080. Not sure how it would manifest itself during peak draw however. Would have gone with a 750w.

Would you please mind listing some? The latest I've seen is the newegg ebay's $108 Seasonic Prime GX-750, which is the same tier with this V850 V2. Other than that, I've always seen $140-$150 for 750W gold PSU who are listed tier-A on that list.

The SFX version is also on sale for $175 at newegg, for those willing to pony up for the ITX tax: https://www.newegg.ca/cooler-master-v85 ... 6817171170

OEM is Gospower. Probably okay, tom's hardware teardown seems decent but I'm sticking with proven Seasonic if powering high value components.

Didnt Vuugo get their website hacked and accounts leaked or something?
Rather just get it one form Amazon or Newegg

Yeah definitely agreed. I just had a pre-existing system and my name came up at ME (6 months later) so I just dropped it in.
Its definitely on my backlog to upgrade the MOBO // CPU // PSU // case. I have everything in a MicroATX case that has poor airflow.
I need to upgrade to a mid tower at the very least given that I had to perform all kinds of shenanigans to get the 3080 to fit and the fans struggle with the 3080 in there now.

Its just such a hassle to change the PSU and case that I've been loafting on it.

Your comment definitely reminded me I need to prioritize this effort higher.

It wouldn't happen at all. If he hit max load, the PSU would just shut the system down. The PSU will provide whatever is asked of them unless their protection triggers. If it's providing less power than the components are requesting, the PSU has a bigger problem. And even then the outcome would be more along the lines of the magic smoke escaping rather than components misbehaving....Gigabyte...
