Well, as per their website, it is part of their "Deals of the Decade". That's right up there with "Lava Hot".

Rakuten for 6% as well right now, still not sure if this is a true deal since it locks you in for 1,500L at Esso

damn $5 less than buytopia...

deal is definitely worth it if you can combine this with PC mastercard at mobil gas station near a loblaw store (assuming gas prices are fair there)

Isn't it almost a better deal to use a 3% cashback credit card directly at the gas station? I am not a big fan of paying so much money up front for the cents off card that keeps me locked into going back to Esso for so many fillups. Wagjag should give a bigger gift card for this deal and less on the cents off part. I appreciate the post but just think Wagjag is going after those people who do not read the actual details of these details and how they work.

This is a terrible deal. It is posted every week and obliterated by simple math.

The gain is too small for the price to pay up front; plus it takes a long time - 1500L is like 50 weeks for some, but most people would still take about 30~40 weeks to fill 1500L.

Just my 2 cents.

I was getting these 10c off Esso cards for free with gift card purchases last year, you need to pay for them now? that's hilarious.

At 100L per fill, 1500L still takes 15 fillups. Even if you fill every week, that's still 15 weeks (almost 4 months). That's a crazy amount of fuel to burn weekly though... this might possible if you drive a pickup and are a contractor (maybe you own a business?).

If you instead have a 50L tank, that's 30 fillups - 30 weeks minimum if you fill weekly (~7.5 months). Possible if you're commuting daily in the GTA.

And this is why I avoid fuel savings cards, unless they're free.

The spend 310, get 300gc plus 60$ fuel savings card (600L @ 10c/L) was 1000x hotter than this

I suppose Wagjag asked one of it's employees to post this "deal of the decade" to this forum.

Why people continue to post these kind of deals? You save a total of $2.5 over 1500L compare to pick up 2.5c fuel saving card for free.

Wagjag sends out pre-activated cards that don't work. When they are contacted, they neglected to support or refund (see https://ibb.co/NFNLTN8). Think twice before you order from Wagjag.

I hate these deals, it's like signing a contract in a sneaky way.
