Wal-Mart gift cards

Gift Cards are a favourite venue for scammers

BEST ADVICE - look for GCs in tamper proof pkging.
If buying any others, check the back to see that the peel strip has not been disturbed
ALWAYS keep receipts
In fact if they are a Gift, I usually include the ACTIVATION RECEIPT with the card
And the easiest way to ensure a good GC isn’t stolen after you own it
Is to USE THR FULL AMOUNT IN ONE GO
Cuz the easiest way that Scammers steal them ... is when owners carry a balance after it’s been swiped the first time

I do t know WHY peeps don’t recognize the fact that Cash doesn’t work in all gifting situations

Be it because of business relationships
Or family / friends
Sometimes giving money just isn’t easy or appropriate

It is what it is

GCs as a form of plastic currency do serve a purpose
Same way that CCs & Debit Cards do
Convenience
And an element of security ... that hard cash has NEVER offered
