[Walmart] 10kg of Prairie Flour Mills all purpose flour for $6.97

Price of flour is going up and this a great price per kg. Stock up if you use or may need flour. Not sure it's going to be 2020 shortage again but you never know.

They also have Pork Side Ribs at 2.77/lb in the flyer.

Good price, but I try not to buy the "enriched" flour as it is less healthy.

Didn't even notice that. Guessing they add some vitamins/minerals - you get one multi-vitamin per X grams perhaps? Can't find specifics online.

I'd recommend buying flour now if you can get it for a good price. It'll for sure be harder to get and more expensive. But what isn't nowadays?

Thanks for finding info.

Those last two ingredients are dough conditioners.

A dough conditioner, flour treatment agent, improving agent or bread improver is any ingredient or chemical added to bread dough to strengthen its texture or otherwise improve it in some way. Dough conditioners may include enzymes, yeast nutrients, mineral salts, oxidants and reductants, bleaching agents and emulsifiers.[1] They are food additives combined with flour to improve baking functionality. Flour treatment agents are used to increase the speed of dough rising and to improve the strength and workability of the dough. While they are an important component of modern factory baking, some small-scale bakers reject them in favour of longer fermentation periods that produce greater depth of flavour

I'm pretty sure almost all all purpose flour is enriched, otherwise it'll contain almost no nutrients.

Enriched flour is actually slightly healthier processed flour. Un-enriched flour is essentially empty calories.

"Healthy" is relative. Eating flour on its own (over 15-20gms a day) is "unhealthy" as a carb that is processed as sugar in your body, unless you are a farmer or work in a physical field.

I never eat flour on it's own...I like to mix it with other stuff like salt, water and yeast, maybe oil, eggs, butter, sugar, milk, eggs etc. I also always cook it first. [sarcasm, LOL].

So you are buying whole wheat instead of all purpose flour? If not then enriched is healthier than non enriched.

I bought a 10-kg bag of all purpose enriched white flour from Superstore for $6.97, this price is active till Wed, March 23.
I can't see it on their flyer, but attached is the figure from my receipt.
There were lots in stock when I was there on Saturday (GVA).

Came in to say this, NN brand is the same price as this deal. Walmart has very limited stock, all sold out at 2 Walmarts nearby, while Superstore has plenty of stock.
