Was clearance priced after the holidays, around $55 after tax iirc. I have this, it's great. Use it 2-3 times weekly. Cooks fast and pretty easy cleanup. Its a good size for family of 4. Would fit a decent sized while chicken, with clearance on the sides. I was worried about reports the nonstick wears out fast, but so far so good.

Which is why you should buy a silicone mat. But there is no real size that fits this 8 Qt. There is a ultra large round one but that means the corners wont be covered by the mat

It’s the same price in-store at Costco, online is $10 more.
Ever since I discovered RFD, I've spent so much money in the interest of saving money...

I’ve been using this model since the end of December.

Use it 4, 5 times a week.

Works really well.

Costco one is more elegant looking. It has a slanted top to make it appear smaller when it really isnt.

Do you have recommendation? Have the Costco one and the coating is starting to come off albeit very little

Purchased one, turned out to be defective over time. Had hard time making a refund. No customer service, no effective warranty, so take it at your own risk. :)

I bought it when it was $48 around Christmas time. First time i used it the coating on the basket was already peeling so a quick return.

Return the gourmia at costco (just tell them it's peeling) and it will be done without a fuss. Rebuy it.

Or buy another gourmia at costco and do a switcheroo by returning the old unit in new box. Either way is fine since costco will not resell used goods. This goes to resellers who buy this and try to sell on their own.

Next time, buy a silicon mat. It makes a huge difference since anything sticky will stick to the mat, and anything oily can be sponged off with soap.

This 8" square silicon mat from Amazon only leaves about half an inch open on the sides for this Gourmia 8qt air fryer. YMMV

I'd trade it all for a little more.

I guess it's YMMV, I was missing the cookbooks I saw advertised so I called Gourmia up. Initially they said that they couldn't send them because I was in Canada but I offered to pay the shipping ($10) and they were agreeable to that. I received them within a few days. I found their customer service to be quite good.

I'd trade it all for a little more.

people have reported the air fryer ovens dont crisp as well as stand alone units, and are larger so more work to clean. While you're at it, you have a 3rd option - air fryer MICROWAVE ovens. These dont work that well either.

It really depends on how many people you're cooking for and how much counter space you have.

I have a Hamilton Beach convection Air fryer toaster oven and an Ultima Cosa 5 quart air fryer, I'm cooking for 2 so I tend to use the 5 quart air fryer more often.

The Gourmia 8 quart air fryer in this post would likely be good for a family of 4 without having to do multiple batches. Maybe someone else knows from experience, the ones I gave as gifts went to singles and couples.

Here's another Gourmia air fryer toaster oven on sale for the same price as the 8 quart in this post

And if that wasn't already confusing enough here's another option a dual basket air fryer. If I didn't already have two air fryers, I would be taking a look at this one cuz it allows you to cook two different things at different temperatures and they are done at the same time. What sorcery is this?

Or buy a better air fryer
