Probably the best bang for your buck you'll get. Only a subpar 120Hz 1080P but amazing upgradability (non soldered ram, 1 extra NVME and 1 2.5 inch bay) and solid battery life. Picked one up myself.

(Edit: All the reviews only have 60Hz available, no 120Hz screen reviews to my knowledge. Acer's website for this model number confirms 120Hz)

Thanks OP,

RAM upgrade is a must but otherwise a great deal.

Happy to help! Honestly with the price it's competing with simple mid range casual laptops and the 4600H looks to hold its own for years to come.

It says 120 hz in the ad. Looking at deals in the US this isn't great but for Canada its a decent deal. Sucks how bad our laptop deals are when considering the sales I've seen in the US.

All the reviews show 60Hz display, which means this might have some discrepancies from most reviews :/. I won't even know until it's gifted whether the specs actually check out. Even for $600USD it's not terrible but not amazing either.

Got this model back in October when it was on sale on Acer site for $765 (after 10% off Venngo code). Great laptop, screen is 120 Hz and looks quite good (at least to my eyes). Added another 8GB memory stick for 16GB total. My kids are using it for school and gaming, it runs almost non-stop every day, so far without any problems. The camera and microfone on it are decent, better than any of my tablets. I am checking Acer website regularly, in hopes that it will come again on sale - will buy another one without any hesitation.

Agree these ACER machines are good. We have the Nitro 5 R20Z (Ryzen 7-4800 16GB 1650ti).
It is my sons full time school/gamer machine and has been amazing in all aspects so far.

how come a lot of laptops seem to have GTX1650? im shopping for a new laptop and it looks like it is a very common video card across a lot of laptops. The price goes up the moment the video card is not 1650 (presumably it is a higher end video card), so i feel like it really becomes "1650 or everything else" when i am trying to decide on a laptop

Because the 1650 is good enough for reasonable gaming. It's not a GTX 1050.

A 1660TI would be better, but the price premium is typically massive.

Simply because the GTX1650 is nvidia's entry level dedicated GPU (replacing the GTX1050) and therefore the cheapest one to use.
