Probably better off paying $200 more for the M1 pre-order, 50% performance increase + other features.

Ipad air base model is only 64 gb and only 60 hz display for 20$ more I think it's a better deal

Eh, the 11" doesn't have the new screen, which is the biggest new feature. For 98% of users the performance boost from the M1 will never be felt. This is a great price for a great tablet.

Have this iPad. It's blazing fast. Unless you do extremely computing intensive tasks, you won't really notice the difference. That's why I was surprised when they put M1 in the iPad Pro. It's already so fast and never, ever choppy.

For $800, it's a good deal.

Perfect for my wife as M1 is too much for her and $139 saving is not bad... For me, M1 for sure but most stores don't have it in stock yet.

Definitely spend the extra $139 imo to get that M1 chip. Over the long run it'll be worth it - the M1 is quite a chip and to have it on the iPad why not?

A12Z in the Pro performs better in heavy computational tasks. Plus the Pro has 6GB of RAM vs 4GB in the Air. Again though, 98% of users won't push either to tablet to the limit. Which means you should look to other things to compare. For $20, the 120hz screen alone is enough reason to go for the Pro

Because she only uses it for chrome, email, and youtube. Air will be adequate, but for $80 more (edu to edu), you get 128GB instead of 64GB storage plus the 120hz screen. Internal 6GB versus 4GB is welcomed but not important for her usage. No point to get Air at this moment; period.

Hey series 5 was already on clearance at Staples last October when 6 launched, that’s how I got my Series 5 in Stainless Steel for $500 (launch price $990).

So wait for October and get series 6 at discounted price from Staples.
