Bought the same one two years ago, it no longer charges anymore. I always brought it inside for the winter. When it was new, and fully charged it would last 10 minutes tops. :)

Sounds like they have NiMH batteries instead of LION.

You convinced me not to buy this... will be borderline junk if it can't hold a charge in 2 years.

Would probably be best to buy this in store and get their 3-5$ extended warranty (If they still have warranty). I bought a vacuum with the 3$ warranty and it failed during the warranty period. I got a gift card sent in my email for the full amount within an hour that I called and I didn't have to send the product back.

It's likely most people won't want to do this, but I'll probably get this with extended warranty (if available) then try to replace the battery by taking it apart. Thanks op!

10-15 minutes on a full charge. eeesshhhhhhh...

I've been looking for a battery powered trimmer for a while to replace my 30cc ryobi gas trimmer but it'd take me 5 days to trim the entire place with this sucker.

I got it at 28, their price gurantee specifically says it doesn't apply to clearance items, probably not worth $8 to deal with Wal-Mart
Bought this last week and the line keeps breaking.

Get a thicker cable if the trimmer can take it.
I have a different, corded trimmer, but I had the same issue with a cable that's 0.065" thick. After switching to 0.080" this issue no longer happens.
I grabbed a cheap 0.080" cable from Dollarama. It only breaks if I trim too low to the ground and hit a rock or something.

Thanks for posting both the battery and electric. Got one of each. Should cover all uses.

Waste of $20. I paid over $30 for it though with tax. Would not even buy it for $10.

Think Walmart is crazy for not sending this garbage back to the manufacturer. The amount of returns and complaints they must be getting is simply not worth it for their business.

It's always the batteries that go first in these cheaper brands. Same with MasterCard, ryobi, etc. I've experienced this with power tools very often. That's why I just pay more and stick to the higher quality stuff. Not worth the aggravation and over the long run you will save money.
