[Walmart] Bostitch Power Tools and Accessories Clearance

Noticed at my local Walmart that all the Bostitch power tools and attachments were on clearance.

It's not just a single-store clearance, also at a bunch of other locations.
Managed to pick up a reciprocating saw and a jigsaw for just under $110 all in.
The store inventory checker isn't so accurate, both were showing as Out of Stock. It'd be wise to take a look at your local store even if it shows as Out of Stock :)

Yeah I picked up the reciprocating saw as well, definitely feels like a solid tool and has some pretty good reviews on amazon!

Thanks OP.

8.5 amp reciprocating saw is a great deal at this price - 3 year warranty too.

Miles beyond the Crappy Tire Mastercraft recip saw that I think was around this same price on clearance.

Now if only they had a pancake compressor...

I was actually considering the one from Canadian Tire at http://canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/certified ... 8284p.html, which I believe is a Canadian Tire brand?
But then I found the Bostitch one and went with that instead.

You made the right choice. Certified is below Mastercraft quality, so I wouldn't touch that brand for any power tool.

I did buy a Certified brand 12V DC car tire inflator/compressor that works OK, but it's not a critical tool that could do some major damage if it failed.

Thanks OP, reading posts from Amazon on the jigsaw kit, overall positive reviews, one of the reviewers mentioned the jigsaw was a re-branded Dewalt, https://www.amazon.ca/BOSTITCH-BTE340K- ... stitch+saw , went and bought one today, 42 + tax,,, has a good solid weight to it, also got the last 5-pack of blades reg. 10.98 for $5. passed on the deal for the reciprocating saw, as last month got the Makita JR3060T 12-Amp Reciprocating Saw @ 78 + tax from Amazon

Gerrard Square had no Hyundai at all and no air tools.

All that there are a couple of Bostitch circular saws.

I'm looking for the hammer drill. Called a few stores in Toronto but no one ever Pucks up in hardware. Very poor CS.

Anyone seen any in the east end?

Found the hammer drill in Brampton. There is still one left at Kennedy and Steeles. That was the only Bostitch product other than the blades.

I bought it, though I'm kind of on the fence. It looks like the same Porter+Cable drill that Lowe's puts on sale for $69 all the time. Pair that with the $10 email coupon and it's only $10 more than Walmart. I've been meaning to pick that up forever and just never got around to it as the reviews are hit and miss. I'd rather buy it closer to truly needing it in case it breaks down which seems to be pretty common. Either the reviewer loves it, or it broke pretty quickly.

I'm tempted to take my chances on a Chinese SDS drill for $100. I see the importer advertising on Kijiji from time to time.

I would take the bostitch over the ryobi's EXCEPT for what appears to be the shift from power tools back to pneumatic tools for the bostitch lineup. which could make the warranties hard to cover by Black and Decker.
