Went to the Bayview/Major Mac store this morning.
Skids of both rice got cleaned out within 5min of them dropping it (no limit). Def check stocktrack before you go.
Also, I’d go in person instead of doing grocery pickup bc i saw a Walmart pickup employee grabbing a bag of rice like anyone else. Hoards of ppl wait for skids to come out, so its likely they’ll just cancel rice off your order

how long can we keep rice for?
i bought during the WM special at the beginning of the pandemic. but because of family changes during covid, we're not eating as much rice anymore.
i still have like 5 bags that i don't think we'll finish anytime soon -- Rooster and Ox Head.
the Ox Head has expiry date of Jan 30 2022
not sure of the Rooster...i can't find any dates...
i've had them all in the (finished) basement for the past 22 months.
will they last?
I wouldn't eat them if they're over 3 years old.
Chinese national rice reserve is refreshed every 5 years.

AFAIK, it is the same rice as Loblaws Rooster brand. It is not like the Mr. Gouda's long grain rice, which has no fragrance, gets soggy, does not stick and has no taste. But it also is not as good/fluffy as Ox Head. Somewhere in-between the two.
