Each store is trying to one up the other (minus Ebgames), got to love it

Now if wal mart drops the price to 39.83, that would be game overrrrr.

I will wait a few months to pick it up for $39.83. Just like Max Payne.

I waited until just last week and got it for $19.99 ($9.99 actually with FS coupon). And don't forget, this is a Ubisoft game so the price will crash sooner than most...

wow, sweet deal if you haven't played AC2 yet...though if you're someone who likes to follow a serialized storyline,, you'd end up having to buy brotherhood and revelations too

The whole Assassins Creed series is one long storyline.
Each game, however, does have a short recap at the beginning. Furthermore, AC3 begins a new "chapter" in the storyline, so it's a reasonable starting point.

Looking at the big picture, however, it would be a good idea for people to at least play AC2 first since it's a friggin' awesome game, and brings you into the story of most of the characters that surround you for AC3.

Yip. If you're like me who already has a long backlog of games, no need to go out and buy right at launch.

I've seen AC Revelations drop to $19.99 on boxing day, then dip down to that level again in late spring. I've seen US Bestbuy sell it for $9.99 after coupon in the summer. :cheesygri

Already pre-ordered AC3 at FS for 40$ during E3, no point of wait for price drop for me.

Well actually EB Games has a pretty good bonus, you get the steelbook like everywhere else plus you get this metal coin and key chain.

Few months? My guess is it'll be 39.99 or LESS by xmas. As early as BF even. Remember AC series = ubisoft = instant price drop.

At my local walmart AC II for xbox is marked at $19.99 but scans at $14.xx. Probably like that everywhere.

Not a bad price if you're curious about the series.
