Wow, that pricing is all over the place.

$2.50/lb for 10lb
$1.12/lb for 25lb
$1.14/lb for 35lb
$2.22/lb for 45lb

Stock up on 25s and 35s at these prices instead of 45s.

And free shipping too! That's gotta kill any profit on these.

They really jacked up the price on the 45s. I got them for $66 last summer.

Damn, why are the 10s and 45's so high compared to the 25's and 35's?

Edit. Got a pair of 25s ordered, but the 35's were OOS by the time I got them in my cart. :|

People might want to also read reviews so their expectations are properly set.

tl;dr they're cheap plates, but may need some work with a file and sandpaper, especially to remove casting marks on the hole so you don't scratch your bar
weight tolerances might also be off a bit

But then again, you can return them to walmart if they're too unsatisfactory.

Bells of Steel has stock in, but they upped all their prices this week. I was on the fence about pulling the trigger on a full set last week for $633 after delivery. Looks to be about $700 this week.

Wish things would get back to normal.

Same here. Now where to find a bar? I missed out on the Canadian Tire stock a few days ago.

FYI The 25s are flying off the shelf.

332 remaining.

Expect it to be sold out in 20 minutes.

Edit: 137 left after 10 minutes.

I can't bring myself to overpay for plates. The 25s are a decent price but I bought materials to make my own out of concrete for a fraction of the cost. Maybe I'll upgrade to real plates when prices come back to normal.

Picked up the 25s. I bought 45s in 2019 they were only $50 each.

Yeah, what karlb said. These will almost certainly chew up your bar even after filing, but I guess if you're looking at these budget plates you're not rocking a $1000 barbell anyway. Watch out for metal splinters too -- those hurt.

the f*** are you talking about? the 25lb plates pre-pandemic price on amazon was around $30 to $35! This is a FLAMING hot deal for 25lbs.

Thanks OP, I paid $150 less than a month ago for two 25lb plates, will be returning them to Amazon now

Edit: OOS now, so lucky I managed to snag 2 just a few minutes before

Received my 25s yesterday. They were in good condition and the holes seem to be cut well and smooth enough. It's been a while since I used Olympic style plates at a gym, but I remember them being pretty snug on the collar. These are a little loose with 1/8 gap or so.
