[Walmart] Castrol Edge 5w40 $85 for 3x5L & other grades

Also $28.47 individually in store, literally same price but not online only

on the costco site it does not list compatibility with mercedes 229.5 or 229.3
the castrol site list 229.3 only!!!!!
otherwise very good deal. The 0W40 or 5W40 are not readily available in store.

Fyi...SPT might be a notch below the regular edge by the looks of it on Bob the oil guy.

EDGE SPT and EDGE are the same now. Back before the early 2010's they used to be different.
The EDGE SPT is slightly older branding (last 5-7 years). All the newer bottles are only labelled only as EDGE.

But its a good price for this if you don't have a Costco membership for in-store. Canadian Tire only has sales once or twice (maybe three) a year on Castrol products and they just had 50% off last week including the extended performance.

The standard 0W40 is only 229.3.
You need the "A3/B4" variant of Castrol to have 229.5 like a "0W40 A3/B4"
